Asking for changes
Ask for changes the way you'd ask a person who looks after your site. The editor reads your site's guide before it changes anything, so its first reply in a new chat can take a moment.
Things you can ask
“Change the phone number in the footer to 555-0142.”
“Change our Saturday hours to 9 to 2.”
“Add a page about our summer camp and put it in the menu after About.”
“Move the testimonials above the photos on the home page.”
“Make the intro on the About page shorter and friendlier.”
“Make the buttons a darker green.”
Changes to your brand
Your site's colors, fonts, and corner styles are each set in one place, so changing one changes every page that uses it. When you ask for that kind of change, the editor tells you what else it affects before making it.
Your brand page, at /brand/ on your own site, shows your colors, fonts, and logo. It updates whenever your brand does, so it's a good place to look before asking for a new color.
Tips
- Keep one topic to a chat, and start a new chat for something unrelated.
- Say which page you mean. “The About page” works better than “that page”.
- Ask “What's on my site?” for a list of your pages and menu.
- If a change isn't right, say what's wrong. “Make it shorter” is enough.
