Previewing and publishing

Every change goes to your preview first, a private copy of your site. Nothing goes live until you say to publish.

Your preview

Preview After each change, the editor sends you a link to your preview. Open it and check the change on the page where it appears. Your preview shows every change you haven't published yet. To see a summary of what's waiting, ask:

“What will go live?”

Publishing

Live When the preview looks right, say:

“Publish.”

The editor tells you what will go live and asks you to confirm. Your change is live on your site in about a minute.

Undoing a publish

If something's wrong after publishing, ask:

“Undo the last publish.”

The undo goes to your preview first, like any other change. Check it, then publish it. Only your most recent publish can be undone this way, and only when no unpublished changes are waiting. To change back something older, tell the editor what it should say, and it makes that as a new change.

Throwing away changes

To drop everything you haven't published, say:

“Throw away my changes.”

The editor warns you that every unpublished change will be lost and asks before it goes ahead. Your live site doesn't change.
